SIGS Instructions to Authors :: Bibliography

[SIGS Instructions to Authors]

Authors are encouraged to format, but not required, to use EndNote-based citations of references in their manuscripts. For the formatting of references in the bibliography, the style file for EndNote is freely available to download: Standards in Genomic Sciences.ens

Citation in text is done by numbers in brackets. References are numbered in their order of appearance in the manuscript.

As shown in the example below, author names are to be given as last names (surnames) first followed by the initials of the authors' first and middle (given) names. Italicized portions of article titles should be conserved. This especially relates to conventions for italicization should be followed in the referenced article titles for organism names.

Authors are encouraged to use a full complement of references that cite fully the materials, methods and related observations.
